Club Facilities

The yacht club is situated at 33°01.080’S, 17°56.000’E on the Northern side of the President jetty, North-Western end of Saldanha Bay.

Club facilities are available to visitors at the following charges:

Foreign Yachts

First 10 days free thereafter R20.00 per meter per day.  This includes temporary membership of the club for this period unless advised otherwise.

Local Yachts

Visiting yachts R20.00 per meter per day.  This includes temporary membership of the club for this period unless advised otherwise.

Visiting yachts at anchor will be charged R46.00 per person per day for the use of the clubhouse and shower facilities.

Visitors swing moorings are available, but booking is required. No Marina style walk on moorings are available. Allocation of moorings will be by the Mooring Officer only. No permanent liveaboards are allowed.

A slipping cradle is available for not longer than 9 consecutive days. Maximum allowable weight is 10 tons. Multihulls up to 48 feet can be accommodated on the cradle NB: Slipping is at Owner’s own risk. 

Non Members

Cradle hire can be booked for a maximum of 9 consecutive days.  Payment is to be made in advance. If this period is exceeded, the boat owner will then pay an additional fee of R1100.00 per day for every day exceeded

  • Slipping rate for Mono Hulls – R220.00 per meter
  • Slipping rate for Cats – R440 per meter
  • Standing rate for Mono hulls – R28 per meter per day
  • Standing rate for Cats – R55 per meter per day
  • If Club installs and removes cradle extension a R550 charge will be levied

Gas, paraffin and food supplies are all available in the town approximately 1 km from the Club. Diesel is available at the nearby fishing jetty; water and electricity (220v) are available at the Club jetty.

General Information

Facilities available locally include : inboard and outboard engine repairs; electrical and electronic repairs; post office; banks; supermarkets; restaurants; hotels; guest farms; general marine dealer; email collection point. The Yacht Club does not have a ferry service.
