Message from our Commodore

With two long weekends in a row, and with almost perfect weather, besides Easter Sunday, there has been some good times on the water!

The Cadets participated in the MAC 24HR challenge on the 23rd of March and managed to get three trophies!!! Well done to all the Cadets who participated and did so well!           Well done to Andre Bestha and his team for all your hard work to get the Cadet team to MAC and for looking after them all for the event!!

Well done to Sean Kavanagh, who represented SBYC at the 2024 Dabchick Western Cape Championships, held at Hermanus Yacht Club, Congratulations on your outstanding results!!

March is the end of our financial year so our club Treasurer, Beverley Bews, is very busy once again, to have all the financials and reports available for the AGM in May,

Please remember to diarise the AGM for Saturday 25 May. Beverley, our club Secretary sent out the various forms for the AGM recently.

If you feel that you would like to stand for nomination for the Committee so that you can actively contribute with your time and effort towards the running and growing of the Club, please complete the nomination form, it will be greatly appreciated, See you at the Club!

History in the making as Silver Cloud, the first ever Cruise liner called in at Saldanha Bay with 227 passengers to explore the West Coast as a tourism destination!
