The weather was not kind to us with gale force winds predicted in the afternoon. This makes exiting the marina a nightmare. There were also those cruisers that were on their way to the RCYC Raid and opening cruise the following weekend. No one sailed to Mykonos, however the crews of Nina, Serenity and Sundowner Rose drove round to share a table at The Cape Town Fish Market. It was a good meal … and so cheap said our guest Alan visiting from Melbourne. Eric Brook (Erica’s son) was working on his yacht in the marina and gave us access to the pontoons. There are a lot of dirty and neglected vessels tied up in the marina. Those near the entrance could be seen pitching up and down in the incoming swell – many restrained by mooring snubber springs, squeaking as they tried to dampen the movement.

Frank didn’t offer to foot the bill this time, although his enormous seafood platter constituted most of it!
