Well done to Bob and Estelle, on being the first to accept the Bar Stool Challenge! Next were Bernard and Ingrid, who bettered the mark. Keep going Members! (Non-members are welcome to join in - contact a Committee member to find out what it is about). June and Graham are in and Gavin has exceeded the challenge. Keep going - this is great!

Dankie GC en Sarie - jammer ons het julle nie gesien nie - and Louis B has bettered it. An anonymous sender has doubled it, as have Bert and Petronella - great, thank you! Well done Ted, Frank and Adrienne!

Our Commodore, Trevor Dyer, has now officially entered the Governor's Cup. Well done, Trev.

Peter Bews has entered his yacht, Blazin, to defend his title as winner of the cruising class last time. Good luck.

Well done to Bill Murray, skipper of Lonestar, who is SBYC's third entry into this race.

Skippers are reminded that they need to call Port Control on Channel 12 on departure from and entry to Saldanha Bay, as well as signing out and in at the Club.

NSRI

Please be aware that there are De Beers diamond boats anchored in the area. The exclusion zone is 150m.

Our cradle winch has been repaired. Please take note, however, that not all boats are able to come out onto our slip. Click here for more on cradle usage.

CRUISING

Cruises include outings to, amongst others, Dassen Island, Kraalbaai and Paternoster. We also visit Langebaan Yacht Club or just sail for a few hours, then raft up. However, when the sea calls many listen and head out into the distance. More

SOCIAL

Almost every evening someone will be enjoying the club facilities on a social level, be it relaxing in the bar, having a braai, or reading a book from our one-for-one library. More

RACING

Many of our members are eager racers and make use of our racing program to gain experience taking on the "big boys". Our fleet normally consists mainly of Sweetpeas, Flying Fifteens, Saddler 26's and 32's and Miuras. More
