Message from our Commodore…
Once again it has been quite a busy November with some fun racing and cruising events!
We had the annual West Coast Offshore Race, which is organized by RCYC and SBYC, over the weekend of the 18th & 19th November, once again the wind Gods switched off the wind during the race which caused the race committee to shorten the race, unfortunately due to the lack of wind, many of the racing boats retired and did not stop over at SBYC, but headed straight back to RCYC. Those of them that did stop at SBYC (some drove back to SBYC after docking at RCYC) enjoyed the great SBYC hospitality and famous Steak braai!! It was a very successful weekend, even with the lack of wind, thank you to all the volunteers and staff who went way beyond the call of duty to ensure that this event was a huge success! Well done!!
As the festive season approaches, we are looking forward to a busy time at the club, with our limited jetty, club and ablution space, please be considerate to all who will be making use of the club during the holidays, if you are going to be travelling over the festive season, please do so safely!
We wish you a Blessed Festive Season and a Prosperous, Peaceful and Safe 2023!
See you at the Club!
